Victor Valdes has secured a loan move to Belgian side Standard Liege until the end of the season, it has been confirmed.
The Spaniard moved to Manchester United 12 months ago on an 18-month deal following his recovery from a serious knee injury.
However, Valdes became an outcast at Old Trafford under Louis van Gaal, with the experienced shotstopper restriced to just two Premier League appearances.
The 34-year-old had been banned from training with the first team in recent months, with a move widely expected before the close of the transfer window.
His move to Standard Liege brings to an end a nightmare period with United.
