Neymar apologises to Paris Saint-Germain teammates

Neymar apologised to the entire Paris Saint-Germain squad in training on Thursday after his altercation with Edinson Cavani during their 2-0 win over Lyon last weekend, reports L’Equipe.

The world’s most expensive player had a heated debate with Cavani over who should take set-pieces in their match against Lyon before reportedly carrying on the argument in the dressing room after the game.

Spanish media even claimed Neymar told PSG to sell Cavani but the Brazil international has now apologised for the debacle as the Ligue 1 giants look to move on.

Neymar reportedly used international team-mate Thiago Silva as an interpreter to apologise for his attitude last weekend.

The 25-year-old has made a breathtaking start to life at PSG after completing a world record £193m move from Barcelona over the summer. Neymar has played a direct hand in eight goals in five league appearances thus far and was the WhoScored Man of the Match in three of those games.

Not only that, but the PSG No.10 has completed at least nine more dribbles than any other player in Europe’s top five leagues (41).
