Watford have entered the race to sign Tottenham target Diego Laxalt from Genoa, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, via Gazzetta World.
Laxalt, 23, enjoyed a successful season on loan at Genoa last season and his performances have seemingly caught the attentions of Premier League duo Tottenham and Watford.
Genoa see the Uruguayan midfielder as a big part of their future and have already invested £3.1m into the player to sign him from Inter and it would take a sizeable fee to take him away from their hands this summer.
Only two Genoa players averaged more tackles per game in Serie A than Laxalt last season (2.2).
