Manchester United are set to reward Jesse Lingard with a new deal that will double his £30,000-a-week wages, according to The Daily Mail.
Lingard, has developed into a regular squad player since the start of last season and has maintained his place in the team under Jose Mourinho despite fears the new United boss would not give youngsters a chance.
The 23-year-old’s performances this season have even earned him a call-up to the England senior team under Gareth Southgate and his season looks set to get even better with a new United deal on the horizon.
Lingard, who was forced drop down into the Championship before getting his chance in the United first-team, has two years remaining on his existing deal but is now reportedly set to be handed a bumper four-year deal keeping him at the club until 2020.
Incredibly, Lingard has actually managed to score as many goals for United at Wembley than he has managed at Old Trafford (2).
