Arsene Wenger is targeting Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi in January to solve their shortcomings in front of goal, according to the Daily Star on Sunday.
Arsenal have the worst conversion rate in the Premier League (2.4%) so far this season and once again came up short in their 2-0 defeat to Chelsea at the weekend.
The north London outfit will reportedly have to part ways with £22m to sign the Marseille striker as Wenger seeks alternatives to Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud.
Batshuayi, 21, has impressed sign joining the Ligue 1 side last summer. The former Standard Liege striker looks to have nailed down a regular starting berth this season and no player has played a more direct hand in their side’s goals than so far this season in Ligue 1 than the Belgian (5).
