West Ham United will have to pay £5.5m to make Manuel Lanzini’s loan spell permanent from Qatar club Al-Jazira in the summer, according to The Daily Express.
Lanzini, 22, who has been compared to Luka Modric and David Silva, has impressed since making the switch to the Premier League over the summer.
The Argentine midfielder has been one of West Ham’s best players this season and Slaven Bilic is reportedly very keen to complete a deal to sign him outright.
In fact, only three West Ham players have garnered a higher WhoScored rating than Lanzini in the Premier League this season (7.22) and only Mauro Zarate (88.2%) has a better pass success rate than Lanzini (87.5%) of those still at Upton Park
