Paris Saint-Germain enter race for unsettled Manchester United ace
Paris Saint-Germain have joined Tottenham and Arsenal in the race to land unsettled Manchester United defender Eric Bailly, claims The Daily Mail.
Bailly was Jose Mourinho’s first signing as United manager in the summer of 2016 but has dropped completely out of favour this year.
Despite turning in arguably the best displays of any United defender under Mourinho’s time at the club, Bailly has been pushed to the fringes this season.
Mourinho reportedly still rates Bailly highly but the Ivory Coast international is becoming increasingly unsettled at Old Trafford.
Bailly has only started three Premier League matches this season and the fact Mourinho is planning to sign a new centre-back in January does not bode well for the 24-year-old.
Tottenham and Arsenal are monitoring Bailly’s future at United ahead of the January transfer window but could now face competition from Ligue 1 giants PSG.
Thomas Tuchel’s side were linked with a move for United defender Marcos Rojo last season but now appear to have turned their focus to Bailly.
United have a significantly better wino ratio in the Premier League with Bailly in the starting XI (63.2%) compared to when he has not featured (50%).
