Barcelona star considering approaches from Chelsea and Manchester United
Barcelona star Neymar is considering approaches from Premier League duo Chelsea and Manchester United, reports the Times.
The Brazil international has been in stunning form for Barcelona this season, with his WhoScored rating (8.49) better than any other player in Europe’s top five leagues.
Neymar has long been linked with a switch to the Premier League with Chelsea and United believed to be leading the way to secure his services should he opt to depart Camp Nou.
Both teams, however, would have to meet the player’s release clause of £170m, with Barcelona unwilling to negotiate below that sum.
What’s more is that Neymar demands to become the world’s highest paid player to convince him to swap Spain for England, which would overshadow Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, of Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively.
The 25-year-old is supposedly becoming disillusioned with life in Barcelona with he under the impression that Messi and Luis Suarez are more important to the club, which works in Chelsea and United's favour.
