Real Madrid will come back in with a £40m bid to sign Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea at the end of the season, according to The Daily Star.
De Gea, 25, was strongly expected to make the move from Old Trafford to Madrid last summer but saw the deal break down in the minute of the transfer window.
The Spain international then put pen to paper on a new long-term deal at United, although isn’t thought to have altered Madrid’s stance on the goalkeeper, who they still see as Iker Casillas’ long term successor.
Only a handful of goalkeepers have kept more clean sheets in the Premier League than De Gea this season (6).

Watch out United, I think this time Florentino figured out how to use a fax machine. You have been warned.
