AC Milan are planning to make a huge bid to sign Atletico Madrid centre back Diego Godin, according to Calciomercato, via Football Italia.
Chinese businessmen are due to complete their takeover of Milan next month and they have already drawn up ambitious transfer plans that include Godin.
Milan are keen to sign an experienced central defender to get the best from Alessio Romagnoli and have earmarked Godin as the ideal signing.
Godin is widely considered as one of the best centre backs in Europe and it would take a staggering bid to convince Atletico to part ways with the 31-year-old.
No defender has had more shots in La Liga this season than Godin (9).
