Crystal Palace are on the verge of signing West Ham defender James Tomkins in a deal worth £12m, according to London Evening Standard.
Tomkins, 27, was omitted from West Ham’s pre-season squad that left for their tour of the US as a move to Palace intensified.
The Eagles have agreed a fee with West Ham for the versatile defender and after successful talks with Alan Pardew a move is all but done.
Tomkins started 23 league games for West Ham last season, which was the most he has started in a single-campaign in the last seven seasons.
