West Brom wantaway heading to Monaco

Nader Chadli is on the verge of securing a move away from Championship side West Brom with French giants Monaco in pole position for his signature, claims The Express and Star.

The 29-year-old has wanted to leave West Brom all summer after their relegation from the Premier League last season.

Chadli was part of the Belgium squad that finished third at the 2018 World Cup and the former Tottenham winger impressed when called upon by Roberto Martinez.

The transfer window for several European leagues shuts on Friday and Chadli faced the prospect of staying at West Brom until January with no offers forthcoming.

However, it has now emerged that Monaco have agreed a £10m fee with West Brom and Chadli is expected to finalise a move in the next 24 hours.

Chadli has spent the last two years at West Brom but has struggled to stay fit for prolonged periods during that time.

In the Premier League, the Baggies had a better win ratio when Chadli featured (27.8%) compared to when he didn’t (20%).
