Barcelona are interested in signing Valencia right-back Joao Cancelo, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
Luis Enrique’s side are on the market for a right-back following Dani Alves’ departure to Juventus and have already been linked with a wide range of full-back’s across Europe.
However, now attentions have turned to Valencia starlet Cancelo, who only joined Valencia from Benfica on a permanent deal last summer.
The Portugal Under-21 international is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in La Liga and Barcelona are now sounding him out regarding a summer switch.
Cancelo has lightening pace and while is a threat going forward (one goal, five assists in the league last season) he can also defend extremely well, boasting a respectable 4.7 tackles and interceptions per game last season.
