Verratti dismisses January exit from PSG

Marco Verratti has cooled rumours of a January exit from Paris Saint-Germain after insisting he will not be leaving the club at any point next month.

Juventus and Chelsea have been heavily linked with a move for the Italy international next month, while his agent, Donato Di Campli, has already revealed the midfielder has three offers from Serie A ahead of the January transfer window.

However, the 24-year-old has dismissed suggestions he will leave PSG next month and is fully focused on getting the team back on track following their underwhelming start to the year.

“I’m fine here and I see no reason to leave,” Verratti told Sky Italia, via The Daily Mail. “All my agent said is that everyone finds it difficult to finish their career with one team, but there’s a difference between difficult and impossible.

“I live every day to try and win as much as possible, and I’ve always said that right now my dream is to win here.”

Verratti is widely regarded as one of the best technical central midfielders in Europe and has previously been linked with a move to Barcelona.

The PSG No.6 still has five years remaining on his existing deal with the Ligue 1 champions having only penned a new deal in August.

In the last five Ligue 1 campaigns only Thiago Motta (10432) has attempted more passes in Ligue 1 than Verratti (9648).
