Tottenham interested in emerging Leicester star

Ben Chilwell's impressive early season performances for Leicester have caught the eye of Tottenham, claim The Daily Telegraph.

The 21-year-old has usurped Christian Fuchs as Leicester's first-choice left-back this season and has made a fine start to the campaign.

Chilwell could make his senior England debut when the Three Lions face Switzerland on Tuesday after being drafted in to Gareth Southgate's squad as an injury replacement for Luke Shaw on Sunday.

Liverpool were heavily linked with a move for the Leicester full-back two years ago but failed to prise the 21-year-old away from the King Power Stadium, instead signing Andre Robertson from Hull 12 months later.

Tottenham were on the market for a new left-back in the summer but failed to offload Danny Rose to the likes of Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.

However, Mauricio Pochettino's side will likely review their left-back position at the end of the season and will continue to monitor Chilwell's performances until then.

Chilwell has played every minute of Leicester's Premier League campaign this season and is their highest WhoScored rated player (7.28).
