Swansea have announced Ki Sung-Yeung will miss the start of next season after undergoing minor knee surgery.
Sung-Yeung sustained a knee injury during South Korea’s 3-2 win over Qatar in their World Cup qualifier last month.
The 28-year-old will remain in Korea to continue his rehabilitation before returning to Swansea when Paul Clement’s side come back from their pre-season tour of America.
Swansea have not been able to put a timescale on his return but are confident it’s not a long-term issue and he will only miss the start of next season.
Of players that have started at least 25 matches in the last three Premier League campaigns, only Mousa Dembele (90.7%) has a better pass accuracy than Sung-Yeung (90.1%).
