Leeds star keen on Chelsea move with talks now held

Chelsea have held ‘firm’ discussions with representatives of Leeds United attacker Crysencio Summerville, ahead of a possible move this summer, reports TEAMtalk.

The Blues, who have already confirmed the arrivals of Tosin Adarabioyo, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Renato Vega so far this window, are now looking to add some firepower to their frontline, with Summerville high on their list of targets.

The 22-year-old starred for Leeds in the Championship last season, scoring 20 goals and providing nine assists to end the campaign as the division’s highest rated player (7.62).

Summerville also scooped the EFL Championship Player of the Season award for his efforts at Elland Road, but could not help Leeds clinch promotion in May’s play-off final clash with Southampton.

This week’s report from TEAMtalk reveals that Leeds still ‘very much expect’ Summerville to depart the club this summer, and despite genuine interest from French side Rennes, Chelsea are the player’s desired destination.

Liverpool, Newcastle, PSG and Bayer Leverkusen have also previously been linked with a move for the Dutchman.
