Barcelona are on the verge of signing Ajax goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen, according to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, via Football Oranje.
Luis Enrique has been forced to look for another goalkeeper with Claudio Bravo expected to join Manchester City before the transfer window shuts in under two weeks time.
Valencia goalkeeper Diego Alves was reportedly Barcelona’s main target but that appears to have changed with it claimed the La Liga champions will make a bid in excess of €10m (£8.6m) for Ajax No.1.
Cillessen, 27, has spent the last five years with Ajax and has previously been linked with a move to the Premier League, although it now seems his destination is the Camp Nou.
The 27-year-old has kept at least nine more clean sheets than any other goalkeeper in the last five Eredivisie campaigns (44).
