Kelechi Iheanacho is free to leave Leicester just five months after signing from Manchester City in a £25m deal, claims The Sun.
Leicester made Iheanacho the second most expensive player in the club’s history in the summer but things haven’t got to plan for the 21-year-old.
Iheanacho struggled with reoccurring muscle injuries upon his arrival and hasn’t managed to kick on since then.
Jamie Vardy and Shinji Okazaki are firmly above Iheanacho in the pecking order at the King Power Stadium and Leicester are now starting to accept signing the Nigeria international was a mistake.
Claude Puel’s side now face a huge problem as Iheanacho is on a lucrative five-year deal and they will struggle to offload him while still trying to recoup as much of their £25m investment as possible.
Iheanacho has only started two Premier League matches this season and hasn't scored for Leicester since October.
