Inter striker has no regrets over City exit

Stevan Jovetic insists he has no regrets over his decision to leave Manchester City for Inter over the summer.

The Montenegro international joined Inter on an initial two-year loan deal over the summer, although the deal will be made permanent and has been structured this way to get around Financial Fair Play.

Jovetic started the season in fantastic form and has been integral behind Inter’s rise to the top of Serie A and he insists he has no regrets over his decision to return to Serie A in search of more games.

“Of course I’m happier to play more games [than at City], like I do here,” Jovetic told Goal. “That’s the way I can improve and do my best for the team.

“It was a good choice to go to City at that time: a great team, with amazing players. I spent two great seasons there, a beautiful experience, unfortunately the biggest issue was related to my injuries, I had too many of them and that’s the main reason I didn’t play so much.”
