West Ham loan out starlet to Championship strugglers

West Ham United have offloaded Reece Oxford to Championship outfit Charlton for the rest of the season, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Oxford became the second-youngest player to start a Premier League game in the Hammers’ shock 2-0 win away to Arsenal (16 years 236 days) at the start of the season.

The England Under-17 international was then linked with moves to some of the elite clubs in the Premier League after a string of impressive performances, but he has faded out of the picture ever since.

The 17-year-old will now spend the remainder of the season on loan at Charlton, who are currently in the bottom three and four points from safety.
