West Ham winger joins Galatasaray

West Ham announced on Monday evening that Sofiane Feghouli has completed a permanent move to Galatasaray for an undisclosed fee.

Feghouli only joined the Hammers on a free transfer 12 months ago but failed to make any lasting impression at the club.

The Algeria international struggled to stay fit for most of last season and dropped down the pecking order at West Ham as a result.

Galatasaray, who have spent a lot of money this summer, have secured his services on a five-year deal that runs until June 2022.

The 27-year-old managed 21 appearances in the Premier League last season, but only 11 of those were starts. He played a direct hand in six goals (three goals, three assists) in that time.

Slaven Bilic’s side had a slightly better record in the league with Feghouli in the starting XI (36.4% win ratio) compared to their success without the former Valencia winger in the team (29.6%).
