Borussia Dortmund are on the verge of signing Bayern Munich midfielder Sebastian Rode, according to Kicker, via ESPN.
Rode, 25, still has two years left to run on his existing deal but has never established himself as a first team regular at Bayern since he signed from Frankfurt in 2014 on a free transfer.
The former Germany U21 international is now close to completing a €12m (£9.3m) switch to Dortmund, although an unnamed Premier League side have also been interested in signing the central midfielder.
Rode only started three league games for Bayern last season and was the most used substitute in the Bundesliga by Pep Guardiola since August 2014 (26).
