Liverpool will allow Mamadou Sakho to leave the club on a permanent basis this summer but only for a fee of £30m, reports The Guardian.
Sakho has no future under Jurgen Klopp after falling out of favour with the Liverpool boss at the end of last season but will not be short of suitors this summer.
The former France international has spent the second half of this season on loan at Crystal Palace and his introduction to the side has played a huge part in the club successfully fending off relegation.
Sakho, 27, is currently sidelined with a knee injury sustained in Palace’s 1-0 defeat to Tottenham at the end of last month and won’t play again this season, but Liverpool are expecting plenty of interest for their defender.
Sam Allardyce’s side had been hopeful of securing Sakho’s long-term services but aren’t expected to match Liverpool’s £30m valuation, although they did pay a similar fee to sign Christian Benteke from Klopp’s side last summer.
Palace’s win ratio in the league with Sakho in the starting XI is 62.5% compared to just 24.1% without the Frenchman in the team. Despite only playing eight league games for the club, Sakho has also been nominated for the club’s player of the season award, summing up his impact since his January arrival.
