Barcelona keen on Ligue 1 striker

Barcelona are interested in signing Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette in the summer, according to L’Equipe, via 101 Great Goals.

The reigning La Liga champions have made signing a fourth striker a top priority in the summer following their mini slump in form that saw them eliminated from the Champions League and almost throw away the league.

Lacazette, 24, has received heavy interest from the Premier League in the last two years and is widely expected to leave Lyon in the summer for pastures new.

However, the likes of West Ham and Spurs could now face surprise competition from Barcelona, although it would seem a strange move from the Catalonian giants considering their financial constraints and desire to sort the long-term future of Neymar.

Since the start of last season only Zlatan Ibrahimovic (51) has scored more goals in Ligue 1 than Lacazette (45).
