Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s agent has revealed the Borussia Dortmund star wants to join Manchester United.
The 27-year-old has 12 months remaining on his existing deal with Dortmund and has reportedly told the club he has no intention of extending his stay with the Bundesliga giants.
Mkhitaryan has regularly been linked with a move to Arsenal in the past but wants to make Old Trafford his next destination.
“Man Utd is a unique opportunity, Micki wants to go there,” Mino Raiola is quoted as saying by Manchester Evening News.
The Armenia international comes off his best season to date having finished the last Bundesliga campaign as the highest rated player, according to WhoScored.com (7.90).
Only Mesut Ozil (19), Angel Di Maria (18), Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez (both 16) registered more assists than the Dortmund ace across Europe’s top five leagues last season (15).
