Paris Saint-Germain have had a €30m (£23.5m) bid rejected by Liverpool for Philippe Coutinho, according to Marca.
Coutinho, 23, was heavily linked with a move away from Anfield last season and the rumours have persisted despite Jurgen Klopp’s arrival.
Barcelona and PSG are the two sides chasing the Brazilian’s signature but both will need to lodge a significant offer if they are to be successful after Laurent Blanc’s side failed with their opening offer.
Only Sergio Aguero (353) and Romelu Lukaku (324) have had more shots on goal in the last three Premier League seasons than Coutinho (308). However, his conversion rate of 5.8% is among the worst in England’s top tier.
