Real Madrid boss hails Tottenham star as complete player
Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has hailed Tottenham striker Harry Kane as the ‘complete player’ ahead of Tuesday’s colossal clash at the Bernabeu.
The reigning European champions host Tottenham in what could decide the winner of Group H after both sides enter Tuesday’s contest with identical records.
Kane has exploded into life since the start of last month and Zidane praised the England international after refusing to comment on whether Madrid are tracking the 24-year-old.
“I don’t know what will happen in the future, but in the present, he [Kane] is a very important player and key player for Tottenham,” ESPN quote Zidane as saying.
“He is very good at everything, but what he does well is that he always goes towards the goal and his speed is very good.
“He is a complete player. He didn’t seem to be [when he was younger], but in the end, that is what he is. But Tottenham is not just Kane – it is a very good team and we are going to prepare very well.
“We are playing against a very good team and that is good for us, it encourages us to play a good match.
“Tottenham has always been a great club, but they are constantly improving and they have a great coach. It will be a good game between two strong teams. It will be the group final.”
The Tottenham No.10 is determined to prove himself as one of the best players in the world and his performances in these matches will determined that status.
Kane is the top goalscorer in the Champions League this season (5) and is also the highest rated player in the competition (9.65).
