Manchester City are going to test Arsenal’s resolve and bid £60m for Alexis Sanchez this month, reports The Daily Telegraph.
Sanchez has entered the final 12 months of his existing Arsenal deal and has been angling for a move away this summer.
Arsene Wenger has reiterated that Sanchez will see out the final year of his contract but City are ready to put that stance to the test with a club-record bid for the forward.
City head coach Pep Guardiola has been waiting patiently in the background for Sanchez all summer and is ready to step up his interest before the transfer window shuts.
Sanchez, who is currently sidelined for a few weeks through injury, has been demanding £400,000-a-week to sign a new Arsenal contract and City are willing to match his staggering wage demands.
In the last four Premier League campaigns only Harry Kane (87), Sergio Aguero (84) have scored or assisted more goals than Sanchez (75).
He's nothing special.
