Former Manchester United manager David Moyes has batted away speculation he is on the verge of leaving his post as Real Sociedad manager despite a torrid start to the season.
Sociedad have failed to win any of their four league games so far this season and sit bottom of La Liga on goal difference having only managed to score two goals in the process.
However, despite having chances to return to the Premier League over the summer Moyes insists he is still happy at the club following their poor start to the season.
“I’m very happy. I’m here despite having other opportunities,” Moyes is quoted as saying by AS.
“I like the city and the players are fantastic. I’m very committed to the team. It’s been a bad start to the league but we have to continue to prepare.
“I’ve been coaching for a long time and I’ve been in this situation many times. You don’t always win and you don’t always get what you deserve.
“We were unlucky [in the defeat to Espanyol] but that happens in football, so I’m preparing the players for victory. That’s all I can do.”
