Sunderland are hopeful of signing Rubin Kazan midfielder Yann M’Vila on a permanent transfer this summer, according to L’Equipe, via Get French Football.
M’Vila, 24, spent last season on loan at Sunderland and was integral behind their late survival bid.
The former France international has entered the final 12 months of his existing deal with Kazan and Sam Allardyce is hopeful of bringing him back to Stadium of Light this summer.
No Sunderland player completed more tackles in the Premier League last season than M’Vila (101).
