The agent of Thiago Silva has revealed the Brazilian is not guaranteed to renew his contract with Paris Saint-Germain.
Silva, 32, has entered the final two years of his current deal with PSG and there have been reports linking him with a return to AC Milan.
The PSG captain has widely been considered one of the best defenders in Europe in recent years and his agent, Paulo Tonietto, has conceded his future might be away from the Ligue 1 champions.
“A contract extension with PSG? For the moment, everything is on hold,” Tonietto told Calciomercato, via Get French Football.
“We are waiting for December to see how the club is doing. If PSG fails to qualify for the next Champions League, Thiago Silva will certainly not be signing an extension. The market? There are a lot of clubs that are interested in him.”
Of players to have started at least 10 games in the last four Ligue 1 seasons only Alex has a higher pass success rate (93.9%) than Silva (93.2%).
