AC Milan star confirms release clause

Suso insists he is still fully committed to AC Milan despite revealing there is a release clause in his new deal.

The 24-year-old signed a new five-year deal with Milan back in September after enjoying a stunning 12 months for the Serie A giants.

Suso’s performances have even culminated in international recognition with the Spanish senior squad this year for the first time in his career.

His position in the team looked vulnerable at one stage in the summer when Milan were spending so much money but he is still one of the first names on the team sheet.

The former Liverpool forward has confirmed there was an opportunity to leave before the start of the season but he is happy at Milan and sees no reason to change team despite the fact he has a release clause in his deal new.

“I’m playing every game at Milan, maybe it’s not the same as before but we’re improving a growing,” he told Sky, via Football Italia.

“I could have left, but I stayed and I’m very happy. There’s a release clause but I’m happy at Milan.

“If I wanted to leave I wouldn’t have renewed and I would have left for a low price. I’m very happy here with the squad and my teammates.”

AC Milan star confirms release clause

The Milan No.8 has scored five goals in 11 Serie A appearances this season, all of which have been converted with his left foot – second only to Paulo Dybala (10) in the league.

Not only that, but only Ciro Immobile and Dries Mertens (both 5) have won the WhoScored Man of the Match award more times than Suso (4) in Serie A this term.
