Grealish arrival would end Man City's pursuit of Harry Kane

Manchester City will have to end their pursuit of Harry Kane if they sign Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish for £100m, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Pep Guardiola has earmarked England duo Grealish and Kane as top transfer targets this summer as he bids to take City to the next level.

City have made a British transfer record £100m bid for Grealish and are now waiting for the Villa star to decide whether he wants to leave his boyhood club.

While Guardiola wants Grealish and Kane, the only way City can sign both in the same window is if they generate significant funds through player sales.

City are open to Bernardo Silva leaving the club this summer but any interest will likely have to come from the Premier League.

Foreign sides previously interested in the Portugal international like Barcelona can not afford him now.

Kane finished last season as the top WhoScored rated player in the Premier League, with Grealish third in the rankings.
