Chelsea given green light to sign Borussia Dortmund star in January

Borussia Dortmund are willing to sell Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Chelsea in January after growing tired with the striker’s ill-discipline, reports The Daily Mirror.

Chelsea were heavily linked with a move for the Gabon international over the summer before eventually signing Alvaro Morata for a club-record fee from Real Madrid, but Antonio Conte still wants to add another striker to his squad.

Aubameyang’s relationship with Dortmund has deteriorated to such a point this season that the Bundesliga giants are even willing to sell their main striker in January.

The 28-year-old was dropped for Dortmund’s 2-1 defeat to Stuttgart earlier this month for disciplinary reasons before being sent off in Saturday's 4-4 draw with Schalke.

Despite a turbulent campaign, Aubameyang has still fired in 11 goals in 12 Bundesliga games this season – only Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski has managed more (13).
