Real Madrid eye surprise move for Paris Saint-Germain outcast

Real Madrid are considering a summer move for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot, claims AS.

Rabiot’s current deal is due to expire at the end of the season and the Frenchman has been banished to the reserves to see out the remainder of his deal.

Tottenham and Barcelona have been linked with a move for Rabiot in the past and now Madrid are considering his signing on a free transfer.

Madrid were interested in signing Rabiot last summer after letting Mateo Kovacic join Chelsea on a season-long loan deal.

Zinedine Zidane wants to overhaul Madrid’s squad this summer, with the likes of Eden Hazard, Kylian Mbappe and Paul Pogba on the club’s radar.

Rabiot made a fine start to the campaign prior to being exiled from first-team affairs, garnering a WhoScored rating of 7.31 from 13 league appearances. The 23-year-old completed 93.1% of his passes in that time and scored two goals.
