Lyon have announced that Nabil Fekir has undergone successful surgery on his knee and will now spend the next six months in rehabilitation.
Fekir, 22, damaged his anterior cruciate ligament against Portugal during the international break with France and now faces a race against the clock to prove his fitness to Didier Deschamps with the Euros round with the corner.
The Lyon striker started the season in sensational fashion, scoring four goals in as many games in Ligue 1. In fact, of players to have scored at least two goals in the French top-flight this season only Theoson Siebatcheu (48 mins) has required fewer mins per goal than Fekir (87.25 mins)
