Roma value Liverpool target Alisson at £79m

Roma will only sell Alisson to Liverpool this summer if the Premier League outfit match their £79m valuation, claims The Guardian.

Liverpool are poised to sign a new first choice goalkeeper this summer following Loris Karius’ disastrous performance in last weekend’s Champions League final.

Jurgen Klopp is expected to revive his long-standing interest in Alisson, but Roma are determined to price Liverpool out of a move for the 25-year-old.

Alisson has developed into one of the best goalkeepers in Europe over the past 12 months and still has three years left to run on his existing Roma deal.

The Serie A giants will demand a world record fee for a goalkeeper if Liverpool want to sign the Brazil international this summer.

Roma could even increase their £79m valuation if Alisson enjoys a successful World Cup campaign this summer.

Liverpool have also been heavily linked with a move for Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak, who will likely cost even more than Alisson.

Of goalkeepers that made at least five Serie A appearances this season, Alisson had the best save success rate (80.1%).
