Manchester United are lining up a world record £94.6m move for Real Madrid star Gareth Bale, according to El Confidencial via the Daily Star.
The Wales international, who is expected to start against Slovakia at Euro 2016 later this evening, has long been linked with a move to Old Trafford, with Bale supposedly keen on a return to England.
United are hoping to announce a marquee signing this summer, with Bale top of the wanted list as Jose Mourinho strives to re-establish the club England's dominant side.
Eric Bailly signed from Villarreal earlier this week, while Zlatan Ibrahimovic is expected to move to Old Trafford in the coming weeks.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is hoping to retain Bale's services, but the attacker is reportedly eager to move to England when the transfer window opens.
Bale impressed for Real Madrid last season, with the 26-year-old's WhoScored rating (8.12) the third best in La Liga last season.
