Bordeaux star Malcom insists he does not know whether he will stay at Bordeaux or leave this month but described playing in the Premier League as a dream.
Malcom has been heavily linked with moves to Manchester United and Arsenal this month already but Tottenham are the new favourites as their Premier League rivals pursue other targets.
Tottenham have reportedly held encouraging talks about the Brazilian forward and it has even been suggested that they will move for the £45m winger this month.
Malcom’s stock is still high despite a dip in form and the 20-year-old has revealed he is leaving his future in the hands of his representatives.
“I do not know if I will be staying or leaving. I leave that to my agents,” he told reporters after Bordeaux’s 1-0 win over Nantes on Saturday, via Get French Football.
“If I leave that is great, I thank the club for everything. That is life. There are choices. There you go. Now we will see. If I have to stay, I will stay. If I am to leave, then I will leave. So long as I am here, I will do my work.
“Yes it is a dream [to play in England], it is a dream for all players and I am no different. As I said, I am here, I must think about working and nothing else. I must not think about leaving now.”
Malcom has scored seven goals and provided five assists in 21 league appearances this season, already one more than his breakthrough campaign last term.
Not only that, but only Nabil Fekir (10), Neymar and Florian Thauvin (both 8) have won the WhoScored Man of the Match award more times than Malcom (5) in Ligue 1 thus far.
