Chelsea eye Juventus midfielder

Incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is prepared to sanction a €20m-25m (£15.8m-£19.7m) deal to sign Juventus midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, via Football Italia.

Asamoah, 27, has suffered with injuries in the last two years but Conte is warming to the idea of a reunion with the Ghana international at Stamford Bridge in the summer.

The former Juventus manager has been linked with a number of Serie A players as the current Italy national team coach gears up to replace Gus Hiddink after the European Championships in the summer.

Asamoah has only started six league games this season and isn’t a first choice midfielder when everyone is fit in Max Allegri’s squad.

Of Juventus players to have attempted at least 100 dribbles since August 2013, only Juan Cuadrado (65.7%) has a better dribble success rate than Asamoah (64%).
