Everton demand £28m for RB Leipzig target

Everton have told RB Leipzig they will need to pay £28m to sign Ademola Lookman this month, claims The Independent.

Lookman spent the second half of last season on loan at Leipzig and was a revelation for the Bundesliga outfit.

Leipzig have already had three offers rejected for the 20-year-old with the latest one topping £22m earlier this week.

Everton have informed Leipzig they will need to increase their offer by a further £6m to have any chance of signing Lookman this month.

Leipzig’s last offer was already a club-record bid and now they will need to shatter their previous record even more to prise Lookman away from Goodison Park.

Lookman made 11 league appearances for Leipzig during the second half of last season, scoring five goals and providing three assists in that time.

Everton bolstered their wide options over the summer with the arrivals of Brazilian duo Richarlison and Bernard.

Lookman was already been warned by Marco Silva that if he fails to secure a summer move away then he will need to fight for first-team opportunities.
