Fernando Torres’ agent insists there is no substance to suggestions Lazio are interested in the Atletico Madrid striker, reports Football Italia.
Reports had emerged in Italy suggesting Lazio were looking to step up their interest in the Spaniard when his contract expires at the end of the season.
Torres, 32, isn’t expected to be kept on at boyhood club Atletico at the end of the season and has already drawn interest from China. He will not, however, be joining Lazio, according to his representatives.
Three of Torres’ five league goals this season have come since the turn of the year, making him Atletico’s second top goalscorer in 2016.
