Hamburg are interested in signing Borussia Dortmund defender Matthias Ginter, according to Hamburger Morgenpost, via Get German Football .
Bruno Labbadia’s side have suffered a number of injuries in defence in pre-season and are now looking to strengthen in the transfer market.
Hamburg have already spent a lot of money this summer but are ready to rival Wolfsburg and Arsenal for Ginter if Dortmund are prepared to sell.
Ginter started 21 games in the league last season and played a direct hand in six goals from right-back (two goals, four assists).
