Liverpool striker Christian Benteke has revealed he could have moved to Borussia Dortmund back in 2013.
The Belgian enjoyed a hugely successful debut campaign at Aston Villa following his switch to Villa Park back in 2012, with such form attracting interest from the German giants.
However, no move materialised, despite the player's agent and now-Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp holding talks over a possible transfer to Dortmund.
"It was after my first year at Aston Villa," Benteke told the Daily Mail.
"My agent and the manager had a meeting about maybe doing a transfer, but nothing happened."
Benteke has impressed under Klopp, with two of his four league goals this season coming in his last three league appearances.
