Inter will announce captain Mauro Icardi has signed a new five-year deal keeping him at the club until 2021 on Friday, according to Sport Mediaset, via Football Italia.
Icardi, 24, was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal and Napoli over the summer and appeared to be on his way out towards the end of the transfer market.
However, the Argentine striker has now committed the next five-years of his career to Inter, which will be confirmed at the end of this week.
Icardi has played a direct hand in eight of Inter’s nine league goals this season (six goals + two assist).
