Liverpool target wants future resolved this week

Roma goalkeeper Alisson wants his future resolved before the World Cup starts on Thursday amid interest from Liverpool and Real Madrid.

Alisson has been heavily linked with a move to both European giants in the last 12 months after developing into one of the best goalkeeper in the world.

The Brazil international still has three years remaining on his existing Roma deal but still wants his future decided this week.

“I believe and I hope that everything will be resolved before the start of the World Cup,” The Daily Mail quote Alisson as saying on Sunday.

“To be honest, I left everything in the hands of my agents. If it’s not resolved before the World Cup, then it will be discussed after it because my head will be focused only on Brazil.

“There are many possibilities on which we are working, but always together with Roma and with respect to my club. We will see what will happen this week.”

Liverpool have made signing a new goalkeeper a priority this summer after running out of patience with Loris Karius.

However, Jurgen Klopp’s side will be forced to shatter the world record fee for a goalkeeper to land Alisson this summer.

Of Serie A goalkeepers that made at least five appearances last season, Alisson had the best save success rate (80.1%).
