Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and now only need to settle on a fee with Borussia Dortmund, claims The Daily Mirror.
The Gunners have acted swiftly in their attempts to sign Aubameyang after Dortmund hinted at the weekend he could leave the club this month.
Aubameyang has been disciplined by Dortmund three times in the last 12 months and the Bundesliga giants have ran out of patience with the 28-year-old.
Arsenal’s new head of recruitment, Sven Mislintat, is currently orchestrating the Gunners’ move for Aubameyang having departed Dortmund for a role at the Emirates at the end of November.
Arsene Wenger’s side want Aubameyang to help fill the void left by Alexis Sanchez, who is expected to join Manchester United, and the north London outfit have made a huge breakthrough in their attempts to sign the Gabon international.
With terms reportedly agreed between Arsenal and Aubameyang, the north London outfit now need to reach a compromise in negotiations with Dortmund.
Only Ciro Immobile (17), Harry Kane (15) and Edison Cavani (14) have scored more clear-cut chances than Aubameyang (12) in Europe’s top five leagues this season.
