Chelsea have been given the green light to pursue their interest in Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi, according to BuzzSport.
Jose Mourinho has reportedly been a long-term admirer of the France international and is keen to bolster his midfield following Chelsea’s terrible start to the season.
Matuidi, 28, started the season in sparkling form and Mourinho has now been given the go ahead to sign the midfielder according to reports.
No player to have started in all six of the Champions League group stage matches has a higher pass success rate than Matuidi this season (93.7%).
