Arsenal to increase offer for Lacazette

Arsenal plan to improve their offer for Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette, according to Sky Sports.

Arsene Wenger is keen to sign a new forward ahead of the upcoming campaign and Arsenal have already had a bid in the region of £30m rejected for the France international.

Lyon have no intentions to sell their star striker and are even planning on contract talks to extend the 25-year-old’s stay in France.

However, that is not discouraging Arsenal from bidding for the striker and Wenger's side may now bid closer to Lyon’s £40m valuation.

Since August 2013 only Zlatan Ibrahimovic (115) has played a direct hand in more goals in Ligue 1 than Lacazette (75).
